About Vantax

Vantax is the independent technical practice of Daniele Vantaggiato, a full-stack developer and Linux system administrator based in Venice, Italy.

Internet is my LAN describes the way I work: I am comfortable moving from public-web data acquisition to private company infrastructure, from a browser session to an Apache log, from a PHP application to a Bash diagnostic script and from an unsearchable file archive to an on-premises indexing pipeline.

My background combines more than a decade of web scraping and browser automation with software development, Linux operations, security, data processing, VoIP, audio/video codecs and media delivery. The common thread is practical problem solving: understand what is actually failing, design a proportionate solution and make it dependable enough for real use.

Current focus

My current product work is centred on Immution, an open-source protection tool for small Linux web servers, and DVfile, the working title of an on-premises engine for cataloguing and searching company files without moving the original archive into a third-party cloud.

DVfile private pilots are intended for organisations that have valuable information trapped in ordinary folders and need a local, controllable discovery layer over their documents.
